You've got questions?
We can answer them.
No. To ensure accurate results each of you will need to complete the assessment on your own without discussing it.
Any couple can take the LoveWell Assessment – but you’ll need a Certified LoveWell Facilitator. Why? Because they are trained in debriefing your personalized 12-page report with you. To find a Facilitator, in your community enter your zip code in our Facilitator Search.
Approximately 20-30 minutes.
This is optimal. You get better results if you don’t take breaks between questions. However, if you have to take a break and continue later, your progress is saved along the way.
The LoveWell Report is incredibly powerful and robust. For this reason, a certified Facilitator is required to help you understand and apply all of the valuable information it contains.
Absolutely. If your relationship is getting serious, it’s never too soon to begin the process of exploring your potential future together.
Sure. The LoveWell Assessment was designed for couples in various stages of their relationship. From engaged to newlywed couples, all the way too married couples you’ll find the results are customized to your personality.
The LoveWell Assessment will generate a customized report, adding information specific to your circumstances.
Some counselors include the assessment as part of their counseling fees. Some will have you purchase the assessment on your own. It retails for $35 per couple and includes the digital Couples Workbook.
As soon as both of you complete the LoveWell Assessment, your Facilitator will be notified and then contact you to schedule your sessions.
Absolutely. This is critical. Every aspect of this assessment is grounded in multiple studies to ensure that the tool is both reliable and valid.

We are thrilled with this question! So much so that we've created a webinar to give you a complete and detailed overview. In it, you’ll learn about the process of becoming a certified LoveWell Facilitator along with a detailed review of the LoveWell Report. Register for an upcoming webinar session!
Yes. Every aspect of this assessment is grounded in multiple studies to ensure that the tool is both reliable and valid. Traditional single-dimensional assessments, such as Meyers-Briggs, Enneagram, or Strength Finder, often miss critical insights or require assumptions about a person’s core characteristics. The multi-science LoveWell Assessment® offers a more complete framework for understanding yourself and others.
In short, the LoveWell Assessment does two things for couples: 1) identifies risk factors and challenges that a couple faces flags, and 2) optimizes their combined strengths as a couple. It does this by assessing everything from psychological wellbeing, how they are adapting under stress, to revealing how their combined personalities can be leveraged for optimal success. The LoveWell Assessment is robust, personalized, and powerful.
This resource is designed to enhance the effectiveness of your work with couples, benefiting both you and those you support. It provides a clear framework for managing your schedule and sessions, ensuring optimal outcomes. Beyond serving as a diagnostic tool, the LoveWell Assessment also sparks meaningful dialogue with couples. As a certified LoveWell Facilitator, you’ll gain access to a personalized LoveWell online dashboard, giving you an organized and practical way to oversee your couples’ progress.
No matter how often you administer the LoveWell Assessment—be it weekly or every few months—your online dashboard becomes an invaluable tool. You can access each couple’s reports as soon as they submit them, and you control when they can view their own results.
Training can be completed either online or in-person, at a time that fits your schedule or your facilitator’s. The online portion usually takes around five hours, while the duration of in-person sessions is determined by your instructor. During the training, you’ll also receive your own LoveWell Assessment code.
If you’re working as a husband-and-wife team—whether as co-counselors or marriage mentors—both partners need to complete the certification training to become LoveWell Facilitators. The best part is that there’s no extra charge; you simply use the same account to complete the training together, and afterward, you’ll both have access to a shared Facilitator Dashboard.
Yes. To ensure that couples receive the highest quality care through their LoveWell Assessment Reports, these assessments must be administered by a certified LoveWell Facilitator. Additionally, anyone wishing to use the LoveWell tool in a facilitation role must complete the required training.
LoveWell is for couples at any age or stage. We also have a singles assessment report for those who are not yet married.
Certainly. Not only does it work effectively with a single couple during counseling or coaching sessions, but it’s also optimized for use with multiple couples at once. For more details on group sessions, refer to the dedicated section in the Training Manual.
The choice is entirely yours. While the Facilitator Training Guide provides some recommendations, it doesn't dictate a fixed number of sessions. Typically, counselors, ministers, chaplains, or mentors who use LoveWell hold between 5 to 8 sessions, though some may choose to offer an intensive, extended single session, while others spread the process over 10 sessions or more. Additionally, LoveWell is adaptable enough to be used not only in a traditional office or classroom but also in retreat or seminar settings.
Couples can either pay for the LoveWell Assessment directly online, or you can purchase codes to distribute as part of your services. This approach lets you include the assessment cost within your overall fees. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
When couples review their personalized LoveWell Report with a certified Facilitator, they embark on a uniquely tailored experience. This process reveals a wealth of insights and sparks engaging conversations, paving the way for growth both as individuals and as a couple.
